DogFit Certified Trainer: Liz Smith

Liz Smith is an experienced canicrosser and Personal Trainer from Walton on the Naze in Essex. She loves nothing more than to combine her passion for health and fitness with her passion for dogs, which is why her decision to join the DogFit Team was an easy one!

Liz is a Group Fitness Instructor and Advanced Sports and Exercise Nutritional Advisor. As well as having completed numerous 5km races through to half marathon distance she has also competed in over 60 marathons and ultras, including a phenomenal 50 over a two year period!

Liz is most definitely a dog lover. She currently owns six Huskies (Lara, Carter, Kiya, Meeko, Indi and Bree) and when she is not canicrossing with them she is busy dryland mushing, which involves a three-wheeled rig, or scootering.

Liz is passionate about helping people discover the benefits of canicross and the unique bond that comes from running and getting fit together. With her vast knowledge and experience, she will introduce you to a new and fun way to get fit with results!

She has access to plenty of woodland and forest trails as well as the beach so there will be plenty of variety to your runs.

Liz runs a variety of canicross classes including the popular Introduction/Taster session for anyone new to canicross and the Couch to 5K course. With her vast experience she can also help anyone looking to build up their fitness and endurance to achieve longer distances.

Classes are available for all levels of fitness ability and all shapes and size of breed of dog!
