She grew up experiencing and trying all sports, focusing on hockey and trampolining, but then got into running when she started working for sports brand Mizuno and the work took her to many events - she soon progressed from 5ks up to half marathons and finally full marathons.
After running numerous marathons Sarah 'found' the trails and that’s when she first came across the sport of canicross. Her first dog Jess, a Labrador x springer spaniel, came on the amazing journey with her to learn all about canicross and develop together as a team. She relocated to Germany with her husband Chris and their two dogs when taking up a job for Adidas Outdoor.
Sarah's experience and knowledge to teach canicross classes and support others in reaching their personal goals is vast. As well as being an experienced canicrosser, she has worked in the sporting goods industry for over a decade. Her undergrad degree is from Loughborough University in Sports Technology, therefore equipping her with a strong knowledge of training, biology and biomechanics. Alongside this she has an MBA in International Sports Management.
But it is her love for dogs that ultimately brought her to canicross, and with over five years experience in racing she has the knowledge, confidence and dedication to coach others.
